Kevin Windhauser is the Postdoctoral Research Associate for the Prison Education Project at Washington University in St. Louis. He is responsible for supporting the expansion of education and programming to one of Missouri’s women’s prisons, the Women’s Eastern Reception, Diagnostic and Correctional Center (WERDCC) in Vandalia, Missouri, about one-hundred miles from St. Louis. Kevin received his PhD in the Department of English and Comparative Literature at Columbia University, writing on the relationship between Renaissance literature and the development of library systems in sixteenth and seventeenth-century England. He has a B.A. from the College of Saint Benedict and Saint John's University and an M.A. and M.Phil from Columbia University.
