High School College Credit Program
(For the residential High School Summer Scholars program, click here.)
Washington University welcomes outstanding high school students in the St. Louis area who are able to perform college-level work in a rigorous academic environment. Students may enroll in one or two courses in the College of Arts and Sciences or University College at Washington University during the summer, spring or fall semesters. Their program should be carefully coordinated with their high school coursework and requires the approval of the appropriate school official.
Selected introductory-level day or evening courses are available, space permitting. The tuition for this program is substantially less than it is for full-time day students. Course work satisfactorily completed normally carries credit toward a Washington University degree or can be transferred to other colleges or universities.
Students in this program must have academic averages of B+ or better, and combined PSAT scores of approximately 180, or SAT scores of 1800, or 25 (ACT or PLAN). Personal information and letters of recommendation from counselors or teachers are considered as carefully as the academic record. A maximum of 15 credits can be taken through the High School College Credit Program.
