I manage the Washington University Prison Education Project (PEP), which aims to provide the same quality education available on campus to incarcerated students at the Missouri Eastern Correctional Center in Pacific, MO. I advise students and oversee academic advising within PEP. I coordinate courses, tutoring sessions, invited speakers and guest lectures, non-credit lecture series, and extracurricular activities, like chess club and our documentary film series. Along with Project Co-Directors Margaret Garb and Robert Henke, I recruit faculty to teach, manage the admissions process, and help design the curriculum in view of granting University College degrees to our students. I am also a professor of political theory, teaching in prison and on campus.
